A review on Traverse City, MI is below. Obviously done by a white lib. But man, this person is making Traverse City seem like my kind of town! :)
"It is void of diversity, has large amounts of bigotry, and lacks fun things to do. 90% of the population here is white, and it is not very safe or welcoming to POC. The area is not welcoming to minorities such POC, LGBTQ+, and disabled people. The town seems outdated and does not have much to do. The only thing I can think of is the 1 climbing gym recently built and opened, but I hope our town keeps adding fun opportunities such as that (maybe trampoline park, fun/themed restaurants, etc). However, it does become more exciting in summer. The beaches are great, hiking trails good, and downtown TC becomes much more vibrant. My main criticism is the lacking indoor opportunities, and, of course, hostile attitudes towards minorities."
