A guy asked me if his interetance will affect the premiums he pays for Medicare via IRMAA. Remember folks, you pay NO Federal Tax on money you inherit. A couple states do have an inheritance tax, PA, MD, NJ and Nebraska, if memory serves. Check my work if you want.
From the Feds though there is no inheritance tax. Now you'll pay tax on the INCOME your inheritance produces just not on the asset you inherit by itself.
