I now think Herschel Walker dodged a bullet by "losing" his Senate bid.
The people in office are controlled. Maybe not the average House of Representative. But in the Senate? There definitely are people pulling the strings and if you steer too far you'll be in a bad place.
Who needs that always hanging over one's head? Life is too short.
